Valentine's Day Projects

Heart Candy Box
Using the box as a template, trace around the box onto pink cardstock, and then trim about a ¼-½ from trace line to create the top covers.  Rubberstamp the “Circles” stamp (Club Scrap) in pink ink, ink edges with pink ink.  Rubberstamp “To be loved…” sentiment (Club Scrap) in black ink in center of heart.  Adhere to box top.  Cut a strip just smaller than the width of your box out of pink cardstock. Repeatedly rubberstamp “I’m crazy about you” sentiment (Club Scrap) about ½ inch apart along the whole strip in black ink.  Ink edges with pink ink.  Adhere to the edge of the box.  Fill with candy.

Idea Card Holder
Get a wood block and a clothes pin for this project.  Measure out two pieces of light pink cardstock for covering front and back of block, rubberstamp “Circles & Squares” image (Club Scrap) and ink edges in pink.  Stamp “Scrapbook Stuff Collector” image (Club Scrap) in black ink on front cardstock.  Cut a dark pink strip to run along the edge, stamp “friend” image (Club Scrap) along the edge. Adhere all pieces to the block using modge podge as shown.  Cover a matboard letter “a” with dark pink cardstock, rubberstamp “circles” image (Club Scrap) in pink and ink edges.  Add ribbons and adhere to block of wood.  Adhere clothes pin to back of block of wood.  Stamp “To be loved…” sentiment (Club Scrap) and ink edges in black ink on dark pink cardstock.  Put that piece of cardstock into the clothes pin.

“Love is a verb” card
Working with a piece of 8.5x11 cardstock laying horizontally.  Rubberstamp “Large Hearts” image (Club Scrap) repeated at an angle from one side of a piece of pink cardstock starting at about 1.5-2 in at one end and ending at about 4 inch.  Trim out the hearts all along the top and fold the card into 3 sections. Rubberstamp “Small hearts” image (Club Scrap) in lower right front corner.  Ink all edges with pink ink.  Rubberstamp “Love is a verb” sentiment (Club Scrap) in black on front of card, and “I love you” sentiment in black inside card. 

 

 

 

 

 

“I Love You” card
Cut a 8.5x5.5 piece of dark pink cardstock, fold in half for card back.  Cut a piece of light pink cardstock 2.25x5.5 inch, rubberstamp “Circles and Squares” image (Club Scrap) and ink edges in pink ink.  Mat on black cardstock and adhere to front.  Stamp two “circle” images (Club Scrap) in black ink on white cardstock and trim out.  Rubberstamp “small heart” image (Club Scrap) in pink ink in center of black circles and mount on front of card as shown.  Cut out a folder tab from white cardstock, rubberstamp “I love you” sentiment (Club Scrap) in black ink and “small heart” image (Club Scrap) and ink edges in pink ink, mat on black cardstock, adhere to front of card.  Add a strip of black cardstock inside card.

“Love notes” box
Using the box as a template, trace around the box onto white cardstock, trim out, rubberstamp the “You + Me” sentiment (Club Scrap) in black ink, in center of the heart cardstock.  Rubberstamp “Sweetheart” and “Be mine” sentiments (Club Scrap) in pink ink turning stamp at 90 degrees going around the center image. Cut a strip just smaller than the width of the bottom of your box out of pink cardstock. Repeatedly rubberstamp “I love you” sentiment (Club Scrap) about ½ inch apart along the whole strip in black ink.  Ink edges with pink ink.  Adhere to the edge of the box. Adhere ribbon around edge of lid.  Adhere paper flowers/brads on lid as shown. Fill with “love notes”.

“Sending my love” mailbox
Buy a small red mailbox, paint white and then sand a bit off to give it a more rustic look.  Cut light pink cardstock to cover the outside of the box, rubberstamp “Circles and Squares” image (Club Scrap) in pink ink to cover paper.  Rubberstamp “Sending all my love to you” sentiment (Club Scrap) and “air mail” image (Club Scrap) in black ink.  Adhere to mailbox.  Add ribbon as shown.  Cut dark pink cardstock and cover the inside of the mailbox.  Cut a piece of dark pink to fit the inside and outside of the door of the mailbox.  Rubberstamp “Hearts” and “love” sentiment (Club Scrap) on the piece for inside and adhere.  Rubberstamp “Double hearts” image (Club Scrap) in black ink on piece for outside door and adhere.

“Friend of mine” notepad
Buy a small box of white note papers.  Cover the box as appropriate for you box.  Stamp “double hearts” image (Club Scrap) on lower left front cover.  Stamp “Friend of mine” sentiment (Club Scrap) in pink ink on pink paper, trim out, ink edges and adhere to cover.  Adhere silk flower/brad to cover.  Add ribbon for a tie closure if appropriate for your project.  Stamp small heart onto all the pieces of note papers inside.

"Sweet Treats” assortment
#1 – Fill cellophane baggie with candy hearts, trim a piece of dark pink cardstock the width of the baggie by about 2 inches, rubberstamp faint image onto cardstock along with “Happy Valentine’s day” and “Small heart” image (Club Scrap) in black ink, fold in half and staple onto the baggie.
#2 – Cut a piece of white cardstock, rubberstamp “Double heart” image (Club Scrap) in pink all over cardstock.  Fold in half and adhere two of the sides together.  Run both of the ends through a crimper, open up the package and fill with candy.  Now close the open end in the opposite direction as the bottom end and adhere closed.
