
“Happy
Birthday” Sweets Box
Level of Difficulty: Advanced

This is the cutest little matchbox
card. You can lift up the accordion card from the box to read a message,
then fill the box with sweet treats. Just a nice little gift for someone
special. Most all materials used in this project is from Club Scrap.
Supply
List:
Pattern Paper: Club Scrap
Rubberstamps: Club Scrap
Ink: Adirondack Currant & Eggplant
inks: Ranger
Ribbon: Offray
Glue Dots
Crafter’s Pick Ultimate Glue
Wooden plugs: Vermont American Head plugs (Home Depot)
Metal handle: unknown, swap item
Medium Matchbox
template
Instructions:
- Use
matchbox template to create drawer and slider for matchbox using pattern
paper.
- Fold
drawer and slider into matchbox.
Adhere edges using glue dots.
- Ink
edges of slider to distress.
- Take
wooden plugs and ink to match.
Adhere to bottom of matchbox with Crafter’s Pick glue. Let dry.
- Cut
piece of pattern paper 3.5 inches x 11 inches.
- Mark
along 11 inch length, every 2.25 inches and score, creating 4 folds. Ink edges of each fold
- Rubberstamp
“Hello Friend”, “first class” and “HI” on first flap. Attach metal handle.
- Rubberstamp
“HAPPY” on second flap.
- Rubberstamp
“BIRTH” on third flap.
- Rubberstamp
“DAY” on fourth flap.
- Rubberstamp
sentiment on last flap.
- Adhere
the last flap to the top of the box.
- Rubberstamp
two other sentiments and cut out, ink edges and mat on front and back of
matchbox.
- Cut piece of ribbon approx. 30 inches
long. Adhere to bottom of box
using glue dots.
- Fill
matchbox with various sweets, close.
Fold flaps down onto top of box and use ribbon to tie everything
down into place.
